Biographical Description

Bartlet Moreland Davidson (d. c1781) was a resident of Martin County. In 1777 William Wallace testified that Davidson obtained a large amount of gunpowder from Tarboro for John Lewellen's use in the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. No evidence has been found indicating that Davidson was ever arrested for his role in the plot. When writing his will in 1781, he named John Lewellen among his "Loving friends."
