James Jabez Hall was born in London, England on November 3, 1849. Hall was a Baptist minister who served as director of the South Atlantic States Department of the American Peace Society. He led pastorates in Edenton, Raleigh, and Fayetteville. Hall died in Harlem, Georgia, on July 9, 1921.
