Biographical Description

Joseph Scott was a Quaker from Nansemond County, Virginia and resided in Perquimans Precinct, North Carolina by 1672. There he purchased and indentured Alexander, an American Indian man, passing the indenture contract to his wife Mary Scott upon his death. Scott died in Perquimans in October 1685.
