Biographical Description

Grover Cleveland Scott was born on June 3, 1884, in Missouri. Scott was a foreman for the Tallassee Power Company in Badin, North Carolina. During an investigation into maltreatment of Tallassee employees by management in 1919, it was alleged that Scott was cruel to Black laborers under his supervision. Scott died in Longview, Texas on April 19, 1964.
