William Depuis was a resident of colonial North Carolina. In 1715 he, along with John Taneyhill and two American Indians, apprehended a group of free and enslaved people of color who had stolen from James Tookes, a resident of Pasquotank Precinct, North Carolina. By 1723 Depuis was a resident of Craven Precinct, North Carolina. By 1733 records indicate that Depuis was living in Bath, North Carolina.
