Biographical Description
Calvin Jeremiah Deal was born on December 22, 1854, in Enochville (Rowan County), North Carolina. Deal was president of the Corriher Mills Company, secretary of the Linn Cotton Mills, and the mayor of Landis, North Carolina, until his death on December 6, 1921.
