Biographical Description

Duncan Lamon was a resident of Edgecombe County, North Carolina by 1749. A local justice of the peace, Lamon also served on the North Carolina Colonial Assembly in 1760, 1761, and from 1766 to 1768. During the American Revolution Lamon served on the local Committee of Safety, was a signer to the Halifax Resolves, and operated a ferry over the Tar River. He died in about 1798.
