17th. July 1777} Ss

Edward Harris^on^ was brought before us Justices assigned to keep the Peace in said County and being duly sworn upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Deposeth and sayeth that about Three Weeks ago this Deponent being at Nathaniel Everetts. John Everett ask’d this Deponent to swear to keep a secret which he comply’d with & was swore accordingly by the said Everett & got the first Token & Word, then Daniel Leggett swore him to stand by the Constitution In the Presence of William Harrison the son of Jam[es] & some Others and further this Deponent sayeth not
