Dear Sir:-

We the undersigned committee representing the Ter-Centernary Association of Mt. Lebanon A. M. E. Zion Church, have been requested to invite His Excellency, the Governor, to address the Colored Citizens of Elizabeth City and Pasquotank County in the celebration of the Three Hundreth Anniversary of the transplanting of the negro from Africa to America, any day that may suit your convience between the 7th, and 11th, of April 1919.

We feel that you would confer a great honor upon these your subjects of this part of your State by favoring us with your presence.

Trusting that His Excellency will find it possible to accept of our invitation.
