Dear Sir:-

In regard to Claude Wm. Howard Order No. 379, Serial No. 629, who died in Camp Jackson and whose body was sent home without being shaved, bathed or dressed. He belonged to 17th Company, 5th Training Battalion 156th Depot Brigade, Camp Jackson, S.C. I spoke to you in regard to the indignation that has been created in this County on account of this Soldiers body being sent home in this deplorable condition.
