Dear Sir:

On the 21st inst the Adjutant General wrote you relative to a re-opening of the classification of Messrs J. W. Carter Jr., Henry F. Carter and F. W. Carter, sons of Mr. J. W. Carter of Maxton, N.C.

I will now thank you to take no action whatever in any of these cases, but forward to this office the entire record with respect to each of these cases. As soon as I have looked into them I will return the papers to you. Until this is done please take no action whatever relative to a re-opening of these cases or re-classification of these registrants.
