Margaret Dozier Strozier (1740-1842) was a resident of Rowan County, North Carolina when she married Peter Strozier in 1758. During the American Revolution while her husband was serving in the army, Margaret managed their homestead in Wilkes County, Georgia and fed nearby Patriot troops. When a group of loyalists attacked the Strozier farm in the winter of 1780-1781, Margaret carried her children through South Carolina to her husband and the rest of the Patriot army camped in North Carolina.

For more information on Margaret Strozier, see her full biography or the Refugees section of the Revolutionary War Widows of NC exhibit.
