William Hazel Bradford was born on July 26, 1896, in Fort Mills, South Carolina. Bradford was an electrical engineer for the Tallassee Power Company in Badin, North Carolina. In 1919, he provided testimony during an investigation into the alleged abuse of Tallassee employees by management. Bradford died in Southern Pines (Moore County), North Carolina on May 21, 1930.
