Be it remembered that a Superior Court of Law for the County of Beaufort was begun and held at the Court House in Washington on the 6th Monday after the 3rd Monday in February 1874 it being the 30th day of March 1874. The Hon. W. A. Moon presiding as Judge, at which court, the following cases were disposed of in manner and following to wit:

Tuesday March 31st 1874
State vs. Mitchell Acklin
Tried by a jury and found guilty of Larceny sentenced by the court to be imprisoned for two years in the state prison.

Wednesday Apl 1st 1874
State vs. Abel Taft
Tried by Jury and found guilty of Larceny sentenced by the Court to be imprisoned for ten years in the State prison.

Wednesday Apl. 1st 1874
State vs. Thomas Hatch alias Jon Patrick
Tried by a Jury who found him guilty of Larceny sentenced by the Court to be imprisoned for five years in the State prison.

Wednesday Apl. 1st 1874
State vs. Barrister Midgett
Tried by a Jury who found him guilty of Larceny sentenced by the Court to be imprisoned for five years in the State prison.

Wednesday Apl. 1st 1874
State vs. Jno. Phillips
Tried by a Jury who found him guilty of Larceny sentenced by the Court to be imprisoned for ten years in the state prison.

I Geo. S. Windley clerk of the superior Court of law for Beaufort do hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of the cases and sentences assessed upon the defendants in said cases tried at the aforesaid Term of said Court which were sentenced to be imprisoned in the State prison.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court. This 7th day of Apl 1874
