Be it remembered that a Superior Court is this day opened & held for the County of Forsyth at the Court house in Winston on the 8th Monday after the 3rd Monday in March 1874. Being the 11th day of May 1874.

A. H. Joyce Solicitor for the 8th Judicial District NC Present & Prosecuting in behalf of the State Whereupon the following Proceedings were had, to wit,

The State against Jason Snow & Pompey Williams
No. 74 Indictment for Larceny.
Jason Snow & Pompey Williams defts Plead not Guilty

The following Jury is sworn and empannelled to try this issue of Traverse, to wit,
Newel Sapp, D. N. Holsabeck, E. T. Lehman, J. W. Bostick, P. N. Whitman, E. S. Crouse, John Coletrane, Joseph Davis, George Sheets, B. G. Elliott, J. M. Lewis, Christian Ebert.

Who for their verdict find the defendants Jason Snow and Pompey Williams Guilty in manner and form as charged in the bill of Indictment.

And thereupon it is considered by the Court now here that Jason Snow the Prisoner at the bar of the Court be imprisoned at hard labor in the States Prison for the Term of three years.

And that the Pompey Williams at the Bar of the Court be imprisoned at hard labor in the States Prison for the Term of Four years; and each stand committed until discharged according to Law.

It is further ordered by the Court that the Sheriff of Forsyth County be charged with the execution of this Sentence and that he deliver the prisoners, each within the time prescribed by Law to the Wardens, of the Penitentiary.
