February 5th, 1918.

Mr. Frank T. Isbell,
Co. H. 119th Infantry,
Camp Sevier, Greenville, S.C.

My dear Sir:-

Your letter received and carefully considered. The time is too short ro get anything done at this end of the line in regard to your insurance before February 12th. My advice to you is to take at least five or ten thousand dollars, and the State Council of Defense will then take up your case and endeavor to get some member of your family or some friend of yours to make the amount that you have to pay on this insurance good to your wife, and if they cannot do it the State Council of Defense will then endeavor to arrange to pay the amount itself.

Very truly yours,

Governor.
