Hon. Thomas W. Bickett
Governer of North Carolina

Sir:

We read with much interest your attask on the "Loyal Order Klansmen" which appeared in the News and Observer yesterday. Your spirit of fairness and justice to all and your sympathy and protection for the weak and unfortunate, have made you the pride of our Great State, and we pledge you our support in any way we may be able to serve you.

When we attend such gatherings as the "All-Board Conference" of the Interchurch World Movement of North America which convenes in Columbus, Ohio from the 8th through the 10th inst. we can point to you and North Carolina with just pride as examples for other governers and states to patern after. We shall pray for the Lord to bless all your endeavors.

With great respect we have the honor to remain

Faithfully yours,

G. A. Edwards
