Bird Land was brought before us Justices Assigned to keep the Peace for this County who being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth & saith that being at Jonathan Davies Wheat Reaping John Garret & Daniel Legate came there from John Stewarts & told this Deponent & Several Others that if they swear to Secrecy he would tell him something, but this ^deponent^ object[ed] unless Mr Garret would [join them] upon which G[arrett] agre[e]d & put his hand on the Book with him when he was swore to secrecy & ^the^ Constitution & further this deponent saith not
