July 12th 1913

Mr. D. N. Ausley,
Statesville, N.C.

My dear Mr. Ausley:

I am sure that Mr. Mann did not intend to do injustice to the Statesville Air Line Railroad and it is certain that this road will be accorded the same consideration as all other roads and enterprises similarly situated.

In accordance with action of the Council of State I wrote Mr. Turner on Thursday. You have perhaps seen the letter. The Council of State required all the roads which the State is furnishing aid to give bond for the completion of the road to a designated point.

Yours truly,
