I William Hill Secretary of State in and for the State aforesaid, do hereby certify, that it appears of record in this Office that Valentine Locus a private soldier of the revolutionary war, obtained for his services as such a Warrant for 228 Acres of land on the 30th. April 1784 No. 782, being the quantity of land allowed by law to a Soldier, for two and a half years service.
