State against Willis Garrett
Larceny
At a Superior Court held for the County of Northampton at the Court House in the town of Jackson, beginning on the 16 day of November A.D. 1874.
Present the Hon. J. L. Henry Judge of the 11th Judicial District acting in place and stead of Hon S. W. Watts Judge of the 6th Judicial District today consider the defendant Willis Garrett into open Court and to the bill of indictment pleads "not Guilty" and thereupon comes a Jury to wit E. D. Rose, J. R. Beale, J. A. Ramsey, Thos. O. Outland, A. Peebles, Samuel Braden, J W. Gay, and J. B. Draper, who being duly sworn, charged tried and impanelled to well and truly try this issue of traverse joined between the State and the defendant Willis Garrett, upon their vote so say for their verdict that the defendant, Willis Garrett, is "Guilty" as charged in the bill of indictment.
Whereupon it is considered by the Court that the defendant, Willis Garrett, the Prisoner at the bar, be confined at hard labor in the States Prison for the term of six years, and thereupon be released according to law. It is thereupon ordered that [illegible] William Sheff. be charged with the execution of this sentence.
