Sir,

I am to Own the Receipt of Your Letter of the 30th. Ultimo, from Brunswick, and to Return You my thanks for having forwarded the Express that was the Bearer of my Dispatches to Governor Lyttelton.

I See that You had Summoned Your Assembly to meet on the 22d. Instant, when I hope You will have proved Successfull in Your Requisition of a Body of Troops, agreable to Mr. Secretary Pitt's Letter, and that I shall soon have the pleasure of hearing from You; Meanwhile, I am to Inform You that M. General Stanwix being on his Departure for England, Brigr. General Monckton will have the Command of the Forces that are to Serve in the Southern District, and You will accordingly, for the future, be pleased to Correspond with him.

I must not Omit my most sincere Acknowledgements for Your kind Wishes in my behalf and to Assure You that I am, with the greatest Regard,
