<Arthur Dobbs Esqr. £500 for ½ a year ended the 25th. April 1761 as Governor of No. Carolina.>

After and By Virtue of his Majys. Letters of Privy Seal bearing date the 3d. day of July 1761 These are to pray & require your Lordship to draw an Order for paying unto Arthur Dobbs Esqr. Captn. Genl. and Governr. in Chief in & Over the province of North Carolina in America or to his Assigns the Sum of £500, without Accot. for ½ a year ended the 25th. day of April 1761 on the yearly Allowance or Salary of £1,000, made payable to him by the said Letters of Privy Seal (in lieu of a like Salary formerly payable to the Governr. of the said Province out of the Quit Rents thereof) to enable him to execute his Commission & the Instructions thereby given him for his Majys. Honour & Suitably to the dignity of the said Office And let the said Order be satisfied out of any Monies in the Receipt of the Exchequer arisen for or upon Accot. of the Duty of 4 & ½ ⅌ Ct. And for so doing &c, Whitehall Treasury Chambers the 15th. day of July 1761
