Circular Letter to the Governors of the Colonies on the Continent of North America, Notifying the new Commission, and inclosing Copies of the Order in Council of 11th March 1762, &c.

Sir

Plant. Genl. O. 107. Entries K. folio 288. His Majesty having appointed Us His Commissioners for promoting the Trade of this Kingdom, and for inspecting and improving His Majesty's foreign Colonies and Plantations, We take this the earliest Opportunity of acquainting you therewith, and transmitting to you the inclosed Copy of the Order of His late Majesty in Council, by which the Correspondence between this Board and the Governors of His Majesty's Colonies is regulated and ascertained, together with Copies of the Letters from the Secretary of State to this Board and to the said Governors explaining this Order and the Additional Instruction given to the Governors in consequence thereof.

This Order and explanatory Letters will mark out to you the Manner in which you are to carry on your Correspondence with this Board and you will govern yourself accordingly.
