Maurice Moore being duely Sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God Deposeth and sayeth that on or about the thirteenth Day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine, he this Deponent and Capt. John Dalrymple saild from the province of North Carolina for the province of New York and that the Day before they Saild this Deponent with the said Capt. John Dalrymple waited on his Excellency Arthur Dobbs Esq: in Order to take their Leave of him and know if he had any Commands; When he this Deponent heard his Excellency Arthur Dobbs Esquire Signify to the said Capt. John Dalrymple, his Disapprobation of his going from his Command by telling the Said John Dalrymple that he had not his Leave for going
