At the Court of St. James's the 27th. day of February 1761

Present

The Kings most Excellent Majesty in Council

Upon reading this day at the Board a Representation from the Lords Commissioners for Trade and Plantations dated the 17th. of this Instant, proposing that Arthur Dobbs Esqr. whom His late Majesty was pleased to appoint Governor of the Province of North Carolina, may be continued in the said Office by His present Majestys Royal Appointment. His Majesty in Council approving thereof, is pleased to Order as it is hereby Ordered, That the said Arthur Dobbs Esqr. be continued in the said Office of Governor of His Majestys said Province of North Carolina—And that the said Lords Commissioners for Trade and Plantations do prepare a Draught of a Commission, as likewise a Warrant for passing such Commission under the Great Seal in the usual manner, and that they do also prepare Draughts of Instructions for the said Arthur Dobbs, and lay the same before His Majesty at this Board for His Royal Approbation.
