Realizing the great necessity of the early extention of the Watauga and Yadkin River Rail Road to Boon N. C. in order that a large territory now without transportation facilities may be served,

RESOLVED: That WILKES COMMERCIAL CLUB respectfully urge the State Authorities to furnish the Watauga and Yadkin River Rail Road Co. more convicts at as early a date as possible.

The above resolution was offered by Hon. T. B. Finley and unanimously adopted and the Secretary instructed to transmit a copy of same to the proper State Authorities at Raleigh.
