Mr. C. M. Doyle, Sec.,
Relief Committee,
Brevard, N.C.

Dear Sir:

I have your wire this morning. I am referring it to the Governor. There will be a meeting here in the Governor's office at one o'clock August 11th, and it is very much desired that Transylvania County shall have a personal representative prepared to state the extent of the loss and the nature of the relief demanded. Meantime, if there is any acute distress which cannot be relieved locally, you should wire the Governor and state how much money is required.

Very truly yours,

[unsigned]

JWB/LRW.
