Dear Sir

Your favor of the 27th. Ultimo was recd. yesterday enclosing $1—Alabama money—I may get it off with come one travelling to the South or West.

I have very carefully examined the rolls and the settlements of the line of this State in the revolutionary war for the name of Frederick Debow, but do not find. From what I have seen & heard, I don't think Wagon Masters were returned on the rolls generally, as they ^were^ off probably attending to their duties when the rolls of those who bore arms were called.
