Biographical Description

Thomas Cook was a resident of Bute County, North Carolina, where he owned enslaved people. In 1768 he served on a local freeholders court when it considered the cases of Ned and Daniel, two enslaved men charged with murder. Cook died in Warren County, North Carolina in about 1794.
