Biographical Description

Thomas Jefferson Moore was born on April 30, 1840 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Moore was a Confederate veteran and physician who resided in Charlotte much of his life. In 1878 he wrote to Governor Zebulon B. Vance requesting a pardon for prisoner William Taylor. He died in Richmond, Virginia on February 24, 1898.
