Biographical Description

John Lahey, also spelled Leahy or Lakey, was a resident of Bath, North Carolina. An attorney, he represented the Town of Bath in the North Carolina Colonial Assembly in 1733. According to George Lewis Jr., Eleanor Carty confessed to Lahey about her involvement in burning down the local Bath jail. No further records regarding this individual have been located.
