Biographical Description

Josiah Bogue was born in Perquimans County, North Carolina in about 1750. A Quaker, he relocated to Wayne County, North Carolina by 1779. There in 1780 he signed a petition from the Wayne County Quakers to the North Carolina General Assembly, asking for reconsideration of levied tax amounts on the Quakers. He died in about 1795.
