Benjamin Morris was born in Pasquotank County, North Carolina on May 26, 1754. He relocated to Wayne County, North Carolina, at some point, where he signed a 1781 petition from the Wayne County Quakers to the North Carolina General Assembly concerning the amount of tax levied on Quakers. Morris died in Ohio after 1804, possibly following other Quakers out of North Carolina.
