Biographical Description

Eliot Wadsworth was born on September 10, 1876, in Boston, Massachusetts. Wadsworth was a financier who served as chairman of the American Red Cross during World War I. Later in life, he served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (1921-1926). Wadsworth died in Washington, D.C., on May 27, 1959.
