John Dawson (circa 1690-circa 1761) was a colonial official and assemblyman who served as a member of the North Carolina Council from 1752 until his death. In the colonial Assembly, he represented Bertie and Northampton counties. For Northampton County, he served as justice of the court and sheriff.
