Henry Jervey was born on June 5, 1866, in Dublin, Virginia. Jervey was a West Point graduate and career army officer who served as Chief of the Division of Operations, War Department General Staff, among other assignments, during World War I. He died in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 30, 1942.
