Biographical Description

William Henry Nassau de Zuylestein (1717-1781), 4th Earl of Rochford, was a British politician, diplomat, and nobleman who was appointed a member of the Privy Council in 1755. He later served as Secretary of State for the Northern Department (1768-1770), Secretary of State for the Southern Department (1770-1775), and Leader of the House of Lords (1770-1775).
