Biographical Description

James Moir (circa 1710-1767) was an ordained Anglican minister and teacher who served congregations at St. James's Parish, Wilmington; St. Philips's, Brunswick; Edgecombe Parish and St. Mary's Parish, Edgecombe County; and St. George's Parish, Northampton County. Moir and royal governor Arthur Dobbs disliked each other.
