Biographical Description
James Kenan (1740-1810) was a politician and soldier from Duplin County. In addition to serving on the Duplin County Court Martial Committee, he also served as a colonel in the Duplin County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia. He also served as a state senator for several terms between 1777-1793.
