Biographical Description

Thomas Respess Jr. (1758-1782) was a politician who represented Beaufort County in the North Carolina Colonial Assembly and later in the North Carolina Provincial Congress. In December 1777 upon finding Daniel Leggett's petition in the road he forwarded it to Governor Richard Caswell.
