Biographical Description

Michael Kelly was an Irishman who was arrested and jailed in New Bern for robbery some time in 1777. On September 11, 1777, he escaped out of prison wearing a green jacket. There was a reward of $5 offered for his capture, but any further information about his escape or possible recapture has not been located.
