William Wallace Rollins was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on July 14, 1838. Rollins was veteran of both the Confederate and U.S. armies during the Civil War and an officer on the Western North Carolina Railroad. He died in Buncombe County, North Carolina, on March 24, 1925.
