Louisa M. Wilson (née Erwin) was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on August 3, 1834. Wilson died in Morganton (Burke County) on May 20, 1893. She was the wife of Confederate veteran and Western North Carolina Railroad president, James W. Wilson.
