Billy Durham was a resident of Johnston County, North Carolina and an owner of enslaved people. In 1779 an enslaved woman named Hannah gave a medicinal power to Billy Durham's relative Elizabeth in an attempt to make the Durhams treat the enslaved people better. Durham died sometime after 1792.
