Biographical Description

Paul Allen was born in Beaufort County, North Carolina on March 7, 1750. Later a resident of Pitt County, in 1778 he served on a coroner's jury that investigated the death of Jim Bowser. Allen was a private and later an ensign in the Pitt County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia during the American Revolution. He died in Anson County in about 1833.
