Biographical Description

John Jordan was born in Chowan County, North Carolina on December 20, 1728. A resident of Chowan, in 1766 he signed in support of his father's petition to receive compensation for an enslaved man who had run away from the Jordan plantation and subsequently been killed. Jordan died sometime after 1771.
