Ezekiel Moore was born in North Carolina in about 1740. A resident of Halifax County, North Carolina, Ezekiel was a mill owner and enslaver. In 1768 one of Moore's enslaved people, a man named Jack, was found guilty of grand larceny and executed by the local court. Moore died in Martin County, North Carolina in about 1780.
