Biographical Description

Timothy Allen was a resident of Hyde County, North Carolina by 1744. An owner of enslaved people, Allen's name came up in a local case in 1756 when one of his enslaved people, a man named Matthew, was accused of assisting another enslaved person with witchcraft. Allen died in North Carolina in about 1759.
