Benjamin Shuttleworth was a resident of Johnston County, North Carolina. He resided alongside the Neuse River and owned several enslaved people. Two of his enslaved people, Coff and Patience, testified before the Johnston County Court in 1768 regarding a poisoning case. Shuttleworth died sometime after 1771.
